Position Overview:
As a Bookkeeper at CSN Collision, you will be responsible for managing financial records and ensuring that the financial operations of the company run smoothly. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial data, processing transactions, and providing support for the overall accounting function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct daybook, suppliers ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger.
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring timely invoicing and payment processing.
- Perform reconciliation of bank statements, verifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Maintain accurate filing systems for financial documents and records.
- Prepare payroll and manage employee expense reports.
- Support during audits by providing necessary documentation and insights.
- Stay updated on financial regulations and best practices in bookkeeping.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
