Position Responsibilities:
Core Engineering & Research Technology. Boeing Commercial Core Engineering and Research & Technology teams develop and mature technologies, methods, materials, processes, and engineering capabilities used across aerospace programs. Interns may support manufacturing technology, knowledge-based engineering, materials and processes, composites, metals, chemical/finishes, and structural test activities. Work may include research, experimentation, data analysis, modeling, process development, laboratory testing, and technical documentation.
Potential internship assignments may include:

• Manufacturing technology and process development
• Knowledge-based engineering, automation, and digital engineering methods
• Metals, composites, chemical processes, coatings, and finishes
• Structural test planning, instrumentation, test execution, and data analysis
• Research studies, trade assessments, and technology maturation

These positions are expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Wichita, KS.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate or graduate ABET-accredited engineering program
• Ability to work full-time during Summer 2027

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Passion for the aerospace industry and interest and enthusiasm for a career at Boeing
• Academic excellence (GPA of 3.0 or higher)
• Previous related internship or work experience and/or involvement with student or civic organizations
• Majoring in one of the following: Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other related engineering fields
• The ability to relocate and work onsite
