Our solution enables users to co-own their data with the platforms they create that data with, and then gives them the ability to share, give, distribute, and even monetize that data as we put the individual at the center of their electronic universe and create the world’s first “digital genome”.
Our company is founded by leading inventors and investors in the crypto space, and includes founders of some of the top 4-5 crypto projects by market cap. SUMMARY OF ROLE:
We are seeking a senior Blockchain Developer with heavy focus on Wallet. As a Bitcoin and Ethereum Blockchain Developer, this individual will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and securing blockchain solutions. Their expertise will drive the creation of secure, efficient, and innovative blockchain applications.
CORE SKILLS:
- 5+ years of C / C++ / Rust
- Strong CS background (knowledge of common data structures and algorithms)
- Extensive Blockchain related experience creating decentralized applications
- W3C DID understanding + VC spec understanding
- Familiarity with Ethereum and Solidity.
- Solid understanding of the Bitcoin lightning network (payments channels, routing, etc.)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaboration with SELF’s lead architect on private key systems that support and grow SELF product digital asset creation/storage and transfer.
- Contributor to initiatives focused on products that interface effectively/efficiently with consensus mechanisms (proof of work, proof of stake, etc.).
- Implementation of advanced wallet/private key components (multisig, key sharing, and hardware security models).
- Staying at the forefront of blockchain and cryptography research, staying informed about emerging trends, technologies, and best practices to drive continuous innovation within the company.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven track record of developing and deploying blockchain solutions for both the Bitcoin and Ethereum networks, with a strong emphasis on cryptography.
- In-depth knowledge of blockchain protocols, consensus mechanisms, cryptographic algorithms, and Bitcoin Lightning Network architecture.
- Strong grasp of advanced cryptography concepts, including encryption, digital signatures, zero-knowledge proofs, and secure multi-party computation.
- Expertise in Lightning Network nodes, channel management, and routing protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to addressing complex technical challenges.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey intricate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A portfolio showcasing your contributions to the blockchain community is highly desirable.
