The BXPE Strategy & Portfolio Management team bridges Acquisitions & Business functions, centralizing and driving all aspects of day-to-day decision making & growth of the business.

This role will support the team’s core responsibilities which include (i) evaluating and driving key corporate decision making with portfolio management frameworks and strategic initiatives (portfolio construction, liquid strategy allocation, dividend & recaps, exits, strategic acquisitions, special projects),  (ii) influencing the investment process including investment pace and assets/strategy/sector mix, (iii) developing and maintaining integrated corporate models, (iv) centralizing probability weighted pipeline, and (v) monitoring, managing and stress testing liquidity in collaboration with BX finance/risk/capital markets teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage regular updates to the fund’s quantitative portfolio management frameworks;
  • Maintain and expand portfolio qualitative and quantitative attribution tagging, proactively highlighting new or changing factors that uniquely influence the fund’s performance;
  • Drive weekly dashboard reporting, outlining portfolio metrics and key performance indicators;
  • Manage the fund’s weekly pipeline process, interacting with stakeholders in multiple business units and functions;
  • Manage process to obtain underlying portfolio company forecasts resulting from regular update processes with deal teams and integrate into BXPE corporate model;
  • Apply change management and utilize tools/ technology to implement new processes and controls;
  • Support and encourage an inclusive planning process and communication methods between teams and key stakeholders;
  • Collaborate and coordinate within BXPE Business Unit (leadership, COO, marketing, deal teams), as well as with the broader Private Equity organization and functional teams within the firm (legal & compliance, sales, finance, investor product strategy, other deal teams, etc.)

  • Excellent attention to detail with commitment to superior quality content;
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of data, or perform hypothetical portfolio analysis with reasonable assumptions, resulting in actionable strategies;
  • Proactive, resourceful individual, who thrives on challenge in a fast-paced and dynamic environment;
  • Team player that communicates on daily progress, roadblocks, alternative ideas, etc.
  • Strong time management skills;
  • Multi-tasks and executes a wide range of assignments, often under pressure to meet demanding deadlines;
  • Produces creative, compelling, and detailed materials;
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills; interacts professionally with a wide range of stakeholders and all levels of leadership within the organization;
  • Strong work ethic, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a desire to learn;
  • Operate with the highest degree of professional integrity, motivation, and intellectual curiosity.
  • 1+ years experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related position.

Expected annual base salary range:

$100,000 - $125,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
