We have a great opportunity for a Biotechnologist to join our Manufacturing Central Operations – Material & Equipment Preparation (MCO-MEP) team at our Tuas site in Singapore. As a Biotechnologist, you will support the manufacture of therapeutic proteins by ensuring materials, equipment and manufacturing areas are prepared and ready for cGMP operations. Working in a cleanroom environment, you will gain hands-on experience with biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes and equipment while contributing to safe, compliant and efficient operations.

What you will do
• Perform material and equipment preparation activities in a cGMP manufacturing environment, following approved procedures and safety requirements.
• Prepare, monitor and maintain manufacturing equipment and cleanroom areas, including routine sanitization, 6S housekeeping, suite stocking and Kanban activities.
• Perform basic laboratory and operational tasks including sampling, pH, conductivity and osmolality measurements, while applying appropriate aseptic techniques.
• Execute manufacturing activities using SOPs, Batch Records and logbooks, and support sample submission through LIMS while maintaining accurate and compliant documentation.
• Develop competency in manufacturing equipment, critical process parameters and operational workflows, including DeltaV operations and standard batch/changeover progression.
• Support quality and compliance activities including deviations, environmental monitoring events, document revisions, validation activities and data integrity requirements.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, MSAT, QA and other cross-functional teams to troubleshoot operational issues, maintain production schedules and drive safe and efficient operations.
What we are looking for
• Diploma, NITEC or Degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Life Sciences, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, manufacturing or cleanroom operations is preferred; candidates with relevant technical training are also encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of cGMP requirements, manufacturing procedures and data integrity principles is an advantage.
• Strong technical aptitude with the willingness to learn equipment operations, material preparation and basic process troubleshooting.
• Positive and proactive team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to changing operational priorities.
• Ability to perform hands-on work in a cleanroom environment, including prolonged standing, equipment movement and manual handling of items up to 12 kg.
• Willingness to work a rotating 12-hour shift pattern and maintain the required training and operational competencies.
