Job Responsibilities:
- Operation of experimental technology: Participate in establishing and optimizing the processes in the oligonucleotide synthesis and PCR and to follow SOP for all required production
- Cultivate the ability to independently solve routine production issues to ensure smooth operations, optimizing processes and offering reasonable suggestions.
- Handle experiment handovers and exception management, provide analysis for unresolved issues in experiments, propose reasonable improvement plans and report unfinished experiments to superiors for confirmation of analysis, feedback and discussion.
- Be responsible for 5S execution and optimization involved in the production line, including safety and equipment maintenance of primer synthesis. Maintain 5S practices with complete inspection records.
- Cooperate and assist with the completion of internal and external department tasks and carry out miscellaneous tasks assigned by supervisor.
- Be responsible for recording all data and results involved in the experimental process in a standardized manner and to ensure the authenticity and traceability of the data.
- Handover experiments properly, analyze the problems of uncompleted experiments, put forward improvement plans, and report the uncompleted experiments to the supervisor
- Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies
- Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant scientific discipline, such as life sciences, biological chemistry etc
- Some familiarity in the use of various laboratory equipment and instrumentation
- Good technical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in performing PCR assays, thermal cyclers, electrophoresis systems and gel imaging equipment including DNA/RNA extractions, amplification and analysis
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accurate and precise work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively
- Available to work 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week, with 2 rest days that may not always fall on weekends
- Able to understand basic conversational Chinese language
- Adaptable, responsible and resilient team player with strong work ethics, cost awareness and a proactive innovative mindset
