Position Overview
We are looking for a curious and independent Biomaterials Intern to enrich our team and support our product development efforts for 6 months. You will work on improving our products, running lab tests, and contributing to regulatory documentation. This is a unique opportunity to gain practical engineering, prototyping, and regulatory experience while helping expand the reach of a life-changing product.
Tasks
* Support all aspects of the product development process, from early concepts and benchtop testing (X-ray, CBCT, viscosity) to small-batch manufacturing and market approval
* Conduct material stability and shelf-life testing by spectroscopic and photopolymerization analysis
* Develop and execute benchtop and performance tests based on ISO standards
* Improve product designs based on market feedback
* Generate experimental data for marketing purposes
* Keep detailed documentation and write clear, concise technical reports, for use in our regulatory files
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree (or higher) in science or engineering (e.g. material science, life-science)
* Experience in lab work, with the ability to work independently, efficiently, and safely
* Interest in biomaterials and medical devices
* Experience in prototyping and building test setups
* High motivation and a strong sense of responsibility, with an independent and well-organized working style
* Engaged and hands-on personality, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
* Available full-time for 6 months
