We are currently in the discovery phase of a major scientific informatics transformation and seeking a contract Informatics Integration Consultant to support early planning, system evaluation, and migration strategy development.
The ideal candidate is an experienced informatics professional with a strong background in ELN integrations, particularly with IDBS, and familiarity with third-party platforms such as Dotmatics, UniChem, and Discngine. This is a remote role, but East Coast-based candidates are strongly preferred to effectively support stakeholders in both the UK and New Jersey.What You’ll Do:

- Lead technical assessment of IDBS ELN migration or integration with future systems.
- Provide strategic input on lab informatics platforms including Dotmatics, UniChem, and Discngine.
- Evaluate system capabilities and integration paths as part of vendor/platform selection.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across R&D, IT, and external vendors.
- Help define the future-state roadmap for scientific data management.
- 5+ years in scientific informatics or lab systems integration.
- Strong experience with IDBS ELN, particularly around integration/migration.
- Awareness or prior experience with Dotmatics, UniChem, and Discngine preferred.
- Proven ability to work in a discovery or planning-phase project.
- Located in the Eastern Time Zone (ET) to support global team collaboration.
- Experience with Benchling or similar next-gen lab systems.
- Consulting experience or background in vendor evaluation and system roadmap development.
