About this PositionThe Bindery Operator is a machine operator that can operate multiple types of machines within the Bindery Department. These machines include cutters, folders, stitchers, paper drill, shrink wrapper and paper banders. These are all machines used to finish the printed material.Salary Range up to $49K DOE
100% OnsiteResponsibilities & Qualifications
Works with Bindery Foreman to determine finishing schedule
Sets up machines to the specifications on the job jacket
Operates the machine to produce finished product
Instructs helper (if applicable) on packaging Information.
Makes sure quality standards are meet by inspecting finished products.
Inspects finishing procedure to insure all instructions for each job are being followed.
Check trim, folds, and pagination to make sure each job is being finished properly.
Insure that all bindery equipment is in top working order for production and quality.
Make sure that all bindery equipment is properly greased and lubricated.
Manage parts inventory to insure that each machine has the spare parts and knives needed to operate Paper Drilling, Padding Shrink-wrapping.
