Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate BIM models based on project drawings, specifications, and design requirements.
- Convert 2D drawings and design documents into coordinated 3D BIM models.
- Create constructible models that support project coordination, visualization, and installation in the field.
- Perform model coordination and clash detection using BIM software and coordination tools.
- Produce coordination drawings, shop drawings, and model-based project deliverables.
- Assist in the conversion of point cloud scans and laser scan data into BIM models, when applicable.
- Review architectural, structural, civil, and MEPF documents to ensure model accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare Requests for Information (RFIs) and communicate design or coordination issues to project teams.
- Ensure compliance with company BIM standards, project requirements, and quality control procedures.
- Conduct model quality checks and serve as the first level of quality assurance for assigned projects.
- Identify and escalate project risks related to quality, schedule, coordination, or productivity.
- Collaborate with project managers, BIM coordinators, engineers, and other stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
- Stay current with BIM technologies, workflows, and industry best practices.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Drafting Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a BIM Modeler, BIM Technician, Revit Modeler, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit.
- Working knowledge of Navisworks or other model coordination and clash detection software.
- Ability to interpret and understand construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation across multiple disciplines.
- Familiarity with BIM standards, modeling workflows, and construction coordination processes.
- Experience with architectural, structural, civil, or MEPF modeling is an advantage.
- Exposure to point cloud modeling and scan-to-BIM workflows is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Available to start immediately or within short notice is preferred.
