Job Description:
Parsons is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented BIM Coordinator with a strong infrastructure background to support the delivery of complex civil and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with LOD 400 & 500 modeling, asset information management, and the integration of 4D (time) and 5D (cost) requirements. This role will be pivotal in ensuring digital project deliverables are accurate, efficient, and aligned with operational client BIM standards & requirements.
What you'll be doing:
Coordinate BIM workflows and ensure alignment with project goals and BIM Execution Plans.
Manage and develop models to LOD 400 & LOD 500 for handover and asset management purposes, ensuring as-built accuracy and metadata compliance.
Oversee and maintain Civil 3D and Revit models for civil infrastructure elements (roads, utilities, bridges, landscape etc.).
Integrate and manage 4D scheduling data and 5D cost data into the BIM environment.
Ensure model and data integrity throughout the project lifecycle, from design to construction and operation.
Work collaboratively within a Common Data Environment (CDE) for documentation control, model sharing, and coordination.
Liaise with design teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure BIM requirements are clearly understood and implemented.
Provide technical support and training to project stakeholders in BIM processes and software.
Develop and maintain project-specific BIM documentation, standards, and templates such as EIR, BEP, MIDP, TIDP, Assets register, COBI, BIM process.
Conduct clash detection and design coordination meetings using Navisworks or similar tools for construction stage.
Assist in digital delivery initiatives and smart infrastructure objectives.
Create the LOD matrix at construction stage especially for Infra projects
Create the LOI matrix at construction stage especially for Infra projects
Create & review the clash matrix at construction stage mainly for Infra projects
Ensure the Shop drawings extracted from the coordinated BIM civil 3D models.
Ensure the as built drawings produced from the as built models.
What required skills you'll bring:
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Minimum of 5 years experience in BIM coordination, preferably in infrastructure projects Construction stage (LOD 400 & LOD500).
Proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D mandatory, Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360/ACC, Project Wise or other CDE platforms.
Demonstrated experience delivering LOD 500 BIM models for operational use and asset management.
Solid understanding of 4D (time/schedule simulation) and 5D (cost estimation/control) BIM integration using Synchro/ CostX
Familiar with industry standards such as ISO 19650, PAS 1192, or local BIM mandates.
Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Experience on BIM LOD requirements.
Proficient in Civil 3D Object Catalogue creating, creating part list, subassembly composer, creating new 3D custom objects with attributes as per the project requirements.
What desired skills you'll bring:
Knowledge of IFC and open BIM workflows.
Familiarity with asset tagging, COBie data structures, and FM systems for Infra projects.
Experience with Power BI, Synchro, Primavera, or similar tools for 4D/5D workflows.
