Core responsibilities include preparing and sending statements to customers, maintaining and updating data/tables, reconciling account discrepancies, and ensuring current billing practices comply with governmental rules and regulations. On-the-job training will be provided; however, experience with and a basic understanding of GAAP and Regulatory Accounting will be rewarded.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely billing for all S&T products and services
- Collaborate with billing vendors, department managers, and/or front-line employees to ensure services purchased by customers are received as intended
- Maintain and update billing tables to ensure accurate billing of products and services
- Maintain Lifeline NLAD database, Erate Customers, and other regulatory requirements
- Oversees the delinquent accounts, late notices, and other functions in relation to collections
- Manage the membership process and capital credit allocations
- Post customer payments and Ebill distributions
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Associate/Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field and/or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in an accounting or finance position, preferably in the Telecommunications industry.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Other Skills & Abilities: PC proficiency is essential (primarily Windows environment), and strong working knowledge of Google Suites as well as Microsoft Office, emphasizing documents and sheets.

What We Do
S&T was founded as a Cooperative in 1952 to provide much-needed rural telephone service in western Kansas. Eventually, Cable TV and High-Speed Fiber internet were added as core services. Still a Cooperative, S&T has expanded its geographic reach beyond the original nine telephone exchanges, providing telecommunications services to over 34 Western Kansas communities. In 2019, as part of a rebrand, S&T established separate business divisions for Residential, Business, and Advertising services. An additional division, S&T Community, was also founded to better focus on community development efforts and charitable contributions.
