Job Overview:
SmartChoice is seeking a diligent, motivated, and enthusiastic Billing Specialist to play an integral role in the monthly billing process by providing exceptional billing/customer support to our clients and organizing post-billing data for management.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

You will be responsible for…

  • Manage the Billing Distribution Inbox:
    • Create and monitor tickets for all inbound customer inquiries
    • Assign tickets accordingly
    • Own the response timeline to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner and improve customer satisfaction
    • Own/Resolve all Level 1 & 2 billing inquiries
  • Perform necessary data entry for monthly bill runs; audit invoices
  • Assist Billing Manager with monthly bill run; serving as back up support when needed.
  • Create and send one-time NRC invoices
  • Coordinate with the PMs to conduct each client first bill review call
  • Assist with the collation/organization of data for the post-mortem meeting
  • Own the billing credits function from start to finish; run bi-weekly credits meeting
  • Provide regular, accurate reports of billing data
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What education & experience you’ll bring...

  • Bachelor’s Degree; preferable in Finance, Accounting or Business Management
  • 2+ years working in an accounting or billing role
  • Experience within Telecommunications industry highly preferred
  • Experience with billing systems a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Teams and Excel)
