Location: Long Beach, CA

At CLP, Operations & Maintenance, we provide the best service, and we know that starts with the quality and professionalism of our workforce. We are seeking a Billing Specialist to join our team at our Long Beach location. Flexibility to work some time at the Upland location is preferred, but not required.

The Billing Specialist will process service confirmations via web-based platform (Supplier Portal) for completed contract work, and monitor all key functions related to service confirmation transactions to assure they’re accurate and processed in a timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collect completed packages and unit timesheets from GF and scan documents to Vdrive.
  • Audit completed packages by confirming all required documents have been received and have been properly completed
    • Quality review completion photos of construction vs job scope to confirm completion of work
  • Manage Incompletes
    • Work with General Foreman and monitor resolution of incompletes
    • Record information related to incompletes in WOS
  • File completed packages (banker boxes) and coordinate delivery to main officE.
  • Confirm all supporting documentation is received from Closeout team to properly submit service confirmations and change orders.
  • Create and submit service confirmations and change orders via web-based billing platform (Supplier Portal).
  • Communicate with Field and Closeout Teams via email regarding issues related to billing delays.
  • Monitor status of service confirmations and change orders, and initiate communications to resolve issues related to returned service confirmations.
  • Communicate with customer on delays regarding billing review and approval.
  • Update database records with all pertinent billing information.
  • Submit completed work package via SharePoint per customer specification
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required.
  • One (1) year of previous billing experience preferred. Utility industry experience a plus.
  • Ability to type 40+ WPM.
  • Able to meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational and digital filing skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency of Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office and Outlook preferred
  • Excellent customer service and strong written and verbal communication skills

Schedule: Monday - Friday: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. Flexibility to spend some work hours as needed at the Upland office is preferred.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

  • You must be able to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hourly: $24.00 to $28.00 based on experience
