O&G Industries, Inc., an innovative and diversified construction company based out of Torrington, CT seeks a Billing Manager to join our team. We are a highly respected leader in our field and ranked as one of the top construction firms in the Northeast.

The Billing Manager oversees the daily operations of the billing department, ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient billing processes. This role provides leadership to the billing team, drives process improvements, resolves complex billing issues, and partners with accounting and operations to ensure accurate financial transactions and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop billing staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Assign and monitor work to ensure timely and accurate billing.
  • Establish departmental goals and drive continuous improvement.

Billing Operations

  • Oversee daily billing, invoicing, and reconciliation processes.
  • Maintain product pricing and billing data.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures.

Customer Service & Issue Resolution

  • Resolve complex billing issues and customer inquiries.
  • Provide support and guidance to billing staff on escalated accounts.

Process Improvement & Reporting

  • Identify opportunities to improve billing processes and efficiency.
  • Prepare reports and performance metrics for management.

Compliance & Internal Controls

  • Maintain tax-exempt certificate records and ensure sales tax compliance.
  • Support internal controls, audits, and documentation of billing procedures.
  • Identify and mitigate operational and financial risks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Prior leadership or management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of billing, accounts receivable, and financial systems.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
