Position Overview:
We are seeking a bilingual SAP SD Consultant who is fluent in Japanese and English to support a rollout project for a leading retail client in Japan. The ideal candidate will bring 5-8 years of experience in SAP Sales and Distribution (SD), with a strong understanding of e-commerce, retail integration, warehouse operations, and order-to-cash (OTC) processes. This role involves collaborating with teams in NYC, USA, and a Project Manager in Japan, with potential travel to retail stores in Japan.
Key Responsibilities:SAP SD Implementation and Configuration:
- Configure and implement SAP SD solutions focusing on Sales Order Management, Delivery, Billing, Pricing, and Retail Integration.
- Ensure seamless integration of SAP SD with warehouse operations, transportation management, and retail systems.
- Provide expertise in Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes, supporting the retail and e-commerce aspects of the business.
Retail Integration and E-Commerce:
- Implement Customer Activity Repository (CAR), POS Inbound/Outbound, and Retail Store Operations.
- Work on FIORI applications to enhance retail processes and improve user experience.
- Collaborate with local and global teams to align SAP SD solutions with business requirements.
Testing, Support, and Troubleshooting:
- Conduct system testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and integration testing for SAP SD modules.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for SAP SD-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and functional specifications for SAP SD solutions.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience as an SAP SD Consultant.
- Proven expertise in SAP SD modules, including Order Management, Billing, Pricing, Retail Integration, and OTC processes.
- Strong understanding of SAP Retail, SAP S/4HANA 2020, and FIORI applications.
- Hands-on experience with Customer Activity Repository (CAR), POS Inbound/Outbound, and Retail Store Operations.
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize SAP SD functionalities.
- Familiarity with e-commerce integration and retail-specific SAP solutions.
Key Competencies:
- Fluent in Japanese and English, both verbal and written.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with global and local teams.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple SAP SD projects.
- Willingness to travel to Japan as needed.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Japanese retail systems and local market practices.
- Knowledge of Agile project management methodologies.
- SAP certification in SD module is an advantage.
