Bilingual Fullstack Developer (node.js/react.js, Docker)

Qohash protects the most sensitive data held by governments and regulated enterprises, on their premises, without ever moving or copying it. We are hiring a Bilingual developer who leans towards clever, simple design, that is comfortable with constrained environments, working alongside a tight-knit high functioning team.

You are a proactive Fully Bilingual, Fullstack Developer who thrives in a small, high-autonomy team with light process. You own your deliverables end to end, from backend to interface, and you are comfortable defending your technical choices without close supervision.

You distrust premature abstraction and justify complexity with a real need rather than an anticipated one. You ask questions about the problem before proposing a solution, and you can explain your own designs simply, whether to an engineer, a customer, or a colleague outside engineering.

You take pride in shipping software that runs reliably on customer premises, where there is no dashboard to watch and no hotfix button: it has to work.

• Deliver full-stack features end to end, from backend services through to the user interface.
• Build and maintain software that is installed and runs reliably on customer premises, including in constrained environments.
• Own your technical decisions and communicate trade-offs clearly to the team and to product and customer stakeholders.
• Work closely with the product team to translate customer needs into simple, durable technical solutions.
• Contribute to a small, high-autonomy engineering team with light process, sharing context and reducing single points of failure.

• 5 years of experience with Node.js
• 5 years of experience with React.js
• 5 years of experience with Typescript/JS
• 5 years of experience with Docker
• Fully bilingual in English and French
• Ability to build new coverage types: parsers, file formats, connectors, and protocols
• Experience delivering end-to-end features, from backend to interface, with examples to show
• Experience shipping software installed on customer premises
• Experience working with binary file formats, data parsing, or protocol-level implementation, with examples to show.

• Familiarity with constrained or air-gapped environments
• Contributions to open-source projects or a personal coding portfolio.
• Cybersecurity awareness or best-practice knowledge.
• Startup environment experience.
