INTEGRATIONS ENGINEER
The role will focus on Technical projects primarily with Autonomous Systems and integration into our Affectli platform. This individual will work directly with CLIENT, HW and SW systems engineers leading planning, design, implementation, and system integration activities. The successful candidate will have experience in embedded systems bringup, requirements engineering management, systems integration, and developing programs to drive HW and SW planning and articulating the big picture.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement components at all layers of the system,
- Design and implement software and systems that operate efficiently in a constrained environment yet when pressed can efficiently deliver large volumes of data with low-latency and high-bandwidth.
- Debug complex, system-level, multi-component issues that typically span across multiple layers from device to application.
- Profile performance problems and drive optimizations that span the entire software stack.
- Bring up new devices and lead debugging and performance tuning exercises that span multiple hardware/firmware/software areas.
- Understand software components from multiple projects, lead the integration of those components into the unified product code base, and drive their continued development.
- Responsible for software integration and implementation ensuring products are delivered according to design requirements.
- Acquire new technologies and transfer knowledge within a multi-site development department.
- Create technical specifications according to product requirement
- Collaborate on proof-of-concepts, pilots, minimum viable products, business cases and quality control
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Product experience with Edge Device Systems, HW and SW components including sensors
- Extensive experience with TCP/IP networking systems
- Exceptional experience developing across multiple teams with a focus on data acquisition systems and systems/SW integration
- Detailed understanding of, and experience with, all phases of product development processes
- Ability to bring form to ambiguous, high-level problems for our customers and to distill that form into actionable elements for a team to work
- Experience in firmware development in embedded systems as well as transport protocols and interfaces ( SPI, UART, I2C, Modbus, SNMP, MQTT, AMQP etc)
- Hands on experience with Python, Java, JavaScript and Apache Spark
- Experience with technologies such as NiFi, Kafka, Hadoop, Druid, Node-Red advantageous
- Experienced with agile development methods (e.g. SCRUM) is an added advantage.
