As a Big Data Analyst you will...
Responsible for performing and developing dataset evaluations and assessments to inform government decision making.
Shaping data engineering approaches for analytic tradecraft improvements within our applications.
Identifying and documenting gaps within our data corpus and analytical capabilities.
Working hand-in-hand with software developers to field requirements and provide feedback as changes are implemented into an application.
Working with end-users to provide SME support for various data or application questions and requests.
Big Data Analyst Qualifications:
Must have a current/active TS/SCI and be willing and able to obtain a CI polygraph.
Bachelors degree in a relevant field. Equivalent years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
At least 5 years of experience as a data analyst, data scientist or similar.
Experience formulating a repeatable process for data evaluations and communicating findings to government officials.
In-depth knowledge of technical data types based on previous research and work with data sets of interest. Data types of interest include Technical Telemetry Data and other forms of telecommunication protocol data types, including cellular and wi-fi.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be a self-starter with excellent time-management skills and the ability to independently manage multiple concurrent tasks.
Must be experienced working in fast-paced environments.
Experience working with Software Engineers to provide feedback and validate the technical implementation for custom applications.
Experience working with a scripting language like Python, SQL, Spark, PySpark or similar.
Must be able to work on-site in Herndon, VA, with the ability to work in Springfield, VA as needed.

Experience conducting geospatial analysis including Activity-Based Intelligence or Pattern of Life analysis.

Experience in a customer facing role.
Familiarity with Gitlab and the Software Development Lifecycle.
