Job Title: BigCommerce Developer

creativity can shine! As a BigCommerce Front-End/Full-Stack Developer, you will be
responsible for developing and maintaining e-commerce websites on the BigCommerce
platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create and enhance user
experiences, ensuring optimal website performance and functionality. Your role will
require a strong understanding of front-end and back-end technologies, and the ability
to manage multiple projects efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
1. BigCommerce Development:
● Develop and maintain BigCommerce websites with a focus on performance,
scalability, and user experience.
● Customize BigCommerce themes and templates to meet client requirements.
● Integrate third-party applications and APIs with BigCommerce.
2. Website Optimization:
● Optimize website performance and ensure compatibility across various devices
and browsers.
● Monitor and enhance site SEO and SEM relevancy and performance.
3. Collaboration and Coordination:
● Collaborate with design and marketing teams to implement new features and
improvements.
● Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and effective
project delivery.
4. Technical Troubleshooting:
● Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to BigCommerce.
● Provide technical guidance and support to other team members.
5. Continuous Improvement:
● Stay up-to-date with the latest e-commerce trends and technologies.
● Continuously improve the online shopping experience to enhance customer
satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications:
● 5+ years of professional experience in front-end or full-stack development.
● The candidate must be fluent in both spoken and written English.
● Proven experience with BigCommerce platform development.
● Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (e.g.,
React, Vue.js).
● Experience with server-side languages and frameworks (e.g., Node.js, PHP).
● Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices and SEO principles.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
● Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
● Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to
non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Experience in a start-up environment.
● Experience with IMG.LY and scripting for calling server executables (e.g.,
executing scripts on offline versions of IMG.LY).
● Understanding of SEO best practices and web standards.
● Knowledge of server-side programming languages (e.g., PHP, Node.js).
● Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
● Experience with responsive design and mobile-first development.
● Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
