Working at a media agency
Simply put, a media agency takes a client’s messaging for their brand and looks at how best to strategically communicate it to the consumer, taking into account people’s habits and behaviours (when and what they watch, read, listen to, how they buy products etc.). A media agency will typically have many departments that cover each specialist area within this process, all working together to deliver commercially successful, outstanding campaigns for the client.
About the role
Reporting directly into the Biddable Manager, the Biddable Executive will manage social media campaigns and optimisations. As part of your remit, you will be responsible for booking activity and setting up campaigns, ensuring campaigns go live and on time, monitoring delivery and reporting. You will also assist the Biddable Manager and Director with strategy and planning, carrying out research and analysis as well as helping to build presentations and media plans. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and adaptability as campaign changes are frequent and accuracy is imperative.
The opportunity
As Biddable Executive you will have the opportunity to learn about all the social media platforms and media partners, we work with at PHD, through our Biddable Internal Training (BIT) program. BIT breaks down all the components of Paid Social marketing into separate bitesize topics, delivered across several weeks.
You will also get the chance to work collaboratively with our Client / Planning teams and other specialist divisions within the Group as well as directly with social media platform representatives.
The people
Sitting within the supportive social team, you will get to work collaboratively with each other as well as with other teams, such as Paid Search, SEO and Display, to spot more opportunities for both personal and business growth.
There are also many opportunities to engage with more people across the agency outside of your work remit by getting involved with our agency experience team. Whether you want to run your own social club, be part of our D&I change, help our moments team celebrate achievements and occasions or find ways to improve our working environment, via our Future of Work Group, PHD is an agency of collaborators and will bring more than expected to your experience of agency life.
The Ideal Candidate
The person we’re looking for will be eager to learn and develop their knowledge and skills in Paid Social, at any given opportunity. You will be proactive, a self-starter and a data-driven individual, who is passionate about digital media.
You will exhibit strong attention to detail, communication and ability to work both individually and in a highly efficient team.
You will also be an organised individual who is good with numbers, problem solving and efficient in using software tools such as MS Excel and PowerPoint
