Job Description
As a Bid Assistant Intern, you will play a key role in helping BidPartner source tender opportunities, keep our community informed, and support clients through the bid submission process. Your responsibilities will include:
- Researching and identifying new bids, RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs from government portals (eTenders, CIDB, etc.) and private sector sources on a weekly basis
- Compiling a categorised weekly bid list with key details including descriptions, issuing bodies, deadlines, eligibility requirements, and submission instructions
- Flagging high-value or time-sensitive opportunities for priority distribution
- Maintaining an organised database and tracker of all sourced opportunities
- Drafting and sending a weekly tender newsletter to the BidPartner subscriber database
- Ensuring newsletter content is clear, well-formatted, and includes all relevant deadlines and links
- Managing incoming consultation requests from businesses wanting assistance with tender submissions
- Scheduling and confirming consultation calls and meetings with the BidPartner team
- Following up with prospects post-consultation to track outcomes and next steps
- Assisting with basic tender documentation preparation where needed

Requirements
- Currently studying or recently graduated in Business Administration, Public Administration, Supply Chain, Marketing, or a related field
- Strong research and internet navigation skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with deadlines
- Good written communication skills in English
- Comfortable using email marketing tools (Mailchimp, Zoho Campaigns, or similar)
- Proficient in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Experience with CRM tools (Zoho CRM preferred) is a plus
- Familiarity with South African government procurement processes is an advantage
