Summary:
As a Business Intelligence Engineer, a typical day involves developing and maintaining interfaces that transform data into actionable insights, supporting informed decision-making across the organization. This role includes migrating and deploying data solutions while ensuring the integration of robust security measures and data privacy protections. The position requires continuous collaboration with various teams to enhance knowledge engines and promote the adoption of data-driven strategies, fostering an environment where data is leveraged effectively to meet business objectives.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Build dashboards, workflows, reports, scripts, validation routines, and reusable solution components.
- Translate business requirements and analytical logic into technical specifications and working solutions.
- Support automation of repetitive analytical or reporting tasks using Python or scripting approaches where appropriate.
- Troubleshoot data, logic, workflow, performance, and dashboard issues.
- Collaborate with techno-functional analysts, consultants, senior developers, and managers to clarify requirements and solution design.
- Perform unit testing, peer review support, documentation, and production-readiness checks.
- Ensure solutions are maintainable, scalable, documented, and aligned with internal delivery standards.
- Support operational analytics across supply chain, inventory, spares, logistics, quality, procurement, planning, finance, and related domains.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Procedural Language Extensions to SQL (PLSQL).
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with Oracle Procedural Language Extensions to SQL (PLSQL).
- Strong SQL capability with experience working on large enterprise datasets.
- Working knowledge of Python, preferably through Colab, for data processing, automation, or validation.
- Experience with dashboards, workflows, reporting tools, BI concepts, and data validation.
- Ability to understand analytical business logic and convert it into reliable technical solutions.
- Familiarity with PLX or ability to learn internal analytics platforms quickly.
- Exposure to BigQuery, Looker, Vertex, or other GCP tools is helpful but not mandatory.
- Strong debugging, documentation, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in an agile, stakeholder-facing analytics delivery environment.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in analytics development, BI development, reporting automation, SQL development, or related roles.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
