We are looking for a seasoned BI engineer to join our team who can help us build innovative solutions for our customers using various BI tools. This person should be able to solve customers' most complex problems with self service and conversational BI for our client and internal initiatives. We are looking for someone who is self driven and innovative, ability to learn and explore new technologies, provide solutions to most complex problems and able to decipher business requirements into insightful and self explanatory dashboards.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Modeling & Architecture: Design and maintain scalable data models (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema) in our cloud warehouse ([Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift]).
- Semantic Layer Development: Build and manage the semantic layer (using tools like dbt) to ensure consistent business logic (e.g., defining "Active User" once for the entire company).
- Conversational BI Integration: Collaborate with AI engineers to map natural language prompts to SQL queries, ensuring the AI "understands" our business jargon.
- Pipeline Optimization: Develop and monitor ETL/ELT pipelines to ensure data freshness and 99.9% uptime for critical business dashboards.
- Visualization & Storytelling: Create high-impact, automated visualizations that move beyond "what happened" to "why it happened."
Required Technical Skills
- SQL: Ability to write complex, performant queries and optimize data structures.
- Modern Data Stack: Experience with dbt, Airflow, and Cloud Data Warehouses.
- BI Tooling: Expert-level proficiency in [Power BI / Tableau / Looker] and other leading BI tools.
- Python/Scripting: Experience using Python for data manipulation and API integrations (especially for LLM/NLP workflows).
- Version Control: Strong proficiency with Git and CI/CD best practices.

- The "Data Translator": You can explain a "Left Join" to a Marketing Manager without using technical jargon.

• Experience implementing Natural Language Query (NLQ) features.
