The BI Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, processing and analyzing business data to support decisions-making processes within PPG AC EMEA organization with the preference of BI technology usage and other tools and methods targeting for an automation and optimization of reporting processes.
This position reports to AC EMEA Reporting Solutions COE Manager.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Propose and develop new reporting tools using BI solutions and Data Lake warehouse
- Improve existing reporting processes via automation and standardization
- Provide maintenance for assigned reports and data models
- Keep compliance to PPG Data and BI Governance
- Provide self-service way of working in agreed scope including building and maintenance of data models, new measures creation, building report prototypes etc.
- Care of data security and proper users access management
- Create and maintain Functional Specifications and other relevant projects documentation
- Cooperate with business SMEs to get understanding and define business requirements
- Cooperate with Data FLIT Team and other BI organization members in common projects and other initiatives
- Provide trainings and ad-hoc support to BI Organization and Stakeholders
- Provide best end-user experience for reports audience
Education / Required Skills/ Experiences:
- Master degree or relevant qualifications providing good understanding of business processes, knowledge of BI technology and projects management
- Excellent analytical skills and proven working experience in roles focused on data analysis and dashboards/reports creation with the usage of BI tools (Power BI or similar)
- Creativity and proactive attitude
- Effective communication skills
- Professional approach to work, strong sense of responsibility
- Self-sustained way of working
- Language: fluent in English
Hard skills:
- 3+ years’ practical experience with Power BI
- Report design (data modeling, visualization, measures, DAX language)
- Workspace management
- Power BI Cloud service management
- Advanced Microsoft Excel including Power Pivot and Power Query
- Good MS SQL knowledge
