About the role:
- Understand the underlying data structure of
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
- Design prototype queries and create
specifications for reporting requirements
- Develop reports and dashboards in Power BI,
build data models and DAX measures as needed
- Optimize performance of Power BI reports and SQL
queries/views
- Be part of BI strategy development and
implementation
- Understand and support MS Azure Synapse and
Fabric based analytics solutions
- Troubleshoot BI issues and perform root cause
analysis
- Conduct data modeling to accommodate business
requirements
- Discover and analyze views and relationships
between tables.
- Provide support and maintain existing BI
solutions (Power BI reports and data models)
- Work closely with BI Developers and Test
Analysts
- Prepare documentation (Functional Specification,
System Design, Test Cases, User Guides)
- Participate in testing activities
Requirements
- 3-4+ years of experience in designing, building,
and testing Data warehouse and BI solutions
- solid experience in business data or system
analysis
- knowledge of Business Intelligence and modern
data warehouse and data modeling concepts
- strong experience in SQL queries and views
(Microsoft T-SQL, SSAS)
- familiarity with business analysis practices
- willingness to learn and understand Microsoft
Dynamics
- experience with MS BI tools
- analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
- excellent command of English
- strong communication skills
- ability to take initiative
- self-starter, can do attitude, adaptable in fast
moving environment
- experience with ERP system analytics or design
is an advantage
- experience with star-schema modelling is a big
advantage (e.g. Kimball or Inmon methods)
Tool knowledge needed:
- Power BI desktop, Power BI (or Fabric) workspace
- SQL – advanced level
- MS Office suite
- Azure DevOps experience is an advantage
