BI / Analytics Reporting Specialist

As a BI / Analytics Reporting Specialist, you will be the architect of our data storytelling. You will take the lead in designing, developing, and maintaining high-impact analytical reports, MIS dashboards, and sophisticated data visualizations.

This role is tailored for a MicroStrategy expert who can bridge the gap between complex data schemas and actionable business insights. You won't just be building reports; you’ll be managing the entire lifecycle of the BI environment—from cloud migration and performance tuning to administrative security and user governance.

As the BI/Analytics reporting specialist, your responsibilities will include:

• Design, develop, and maintain analytical reports, MIS dashboards, and data visualizations using the MicroStrategy platform to meet business requirements.
• Apart from On-Prem tool knowledge , expertise with the latest cloud version of MicroStrategy ensuring optimal use of platform capabilities is mandatory.
• Perform data modeling using MicroStrategy Mosaic, including schema design, attributes, facts, and hierarchies.
• Develop complex application objects, including metrics, filters, groups and consolidations.
• Manage report scheduling, distribution, and performance tuning.
• Admin knowledge is mandatory to perform MicroStrategy administration activities, including:
• User and group management
• Role-based access control
• Security filters and object-level permissions
• Maintain a well-organized security model across the organization with proper segregation of roles and responsibilities.
• Strong SQL knowledge is mandatory. PLSQL knowledge will be added advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Experience with additional BI/reporting tools such as:
• Power BI
• SAP BusinessObjects
• Crystal Reports
• Tableau (considered a strong advantage)
• Exposure to or experience with AI-driven features will be an added advantage.

What we need from you:

• Extensive experience in designing and deploying reports and dashboards using MicroStrategy. This includes deep knowledge of both On-Prem environments and the latest Cloud versions.
• Proven expertise in MicroStrategy Mosaic, including schema design (attributes, facts, hierarchies) and the development of complex application objects (metrics, filters, groups, and consolidations).
• Hands-on experience with MicroStrategy Administration, covering user/group management, role-based access control (RBAC), security filters, and maintaining a strict segregation of duties.
• Advanced SQL: Expert-level ability to write and optimize complex queries.
• Ability to manage report scheduling and optimize dashboard performance for a seamless user experience.
• Strong analytical thinking and a methodical approach to problem-solving.

What we'd like from you:

• Knowledge of PL/SQL for more complex data manipulation.
• Experience with other major BI platforms, specifically:
• Tableau (Highly advantageous)
• Power BI
• SAP BusinessObjects
• Crystal Reports
• Exposure to or direct experience with AI-driven features within BI platforms.
• Experience designing organization-wide security models that balance accessibility with data integrity.
