POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
AHCA – Level 2 Screening/ Eligibility
According to the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), disqualifying offenses for a background screening include: violent crimes like murder, manslaughter, aggravated assault, and battery; sexual offenses like sexual battery, child sexual abuse; drug-related felonies, particularly trafficking or distribution; child abuse and neglect; fraud and theft, especially against vulnerable populations; and kidnapping or false imprisonment; all of which could prevent someone from working in a healthcare setting regulated by AHCA.
- DRIVER EXPERIENCE PER OUR INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
Drivers need to be:
• At least 21 years old
• Have four years driving experience or more
• Hold a valid CDL license (when/where required)
Any driver with one (1) Major Violation within the prior three years is not acceptable
Major Violations:
• DWI, DUI, OUI, OWI
• Refusing a substance test
• Driving with an open container of alcohol
• Reckless driving
• Hit and run
• Fleeing a police officer
• Racing
• Driving while license is revoked or suspended
• Negligent, homicide, manslaughter or assault arising out of the operation of a motor
vehicle
• Felony conviction involving a motor vehicle
• Using a motor vehicle for the commission of a felony
• Leaving the scene of an accident
• Speeding violations 25 mph and over
Any driver with more than three (3) Moving Violations within the prior three years is not
acceptable
Moving Violations:
Include most driving and moving violations such as:
• Speeding
• Improper lane change
• Failure to yield or obey a traffic signal or sign
• Speeding violations under 25 mph
• Texting while driving
• Unsafe operation of a motor vehicle
• Improper use of HOV lane
At Fault Accidents - Fleets with any driver with more than one (1) at-fault accident within the prior three years is not acceptable
- EDUCATION: Graduation from High School or GED. Will consider individuals without a high-school diploma with at least 1 year of experience in the treatment industry.
- EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 1-year experience in treatment industry preferred.
- LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Current and valid Florida Driver License. CPR certification and First Aid within 90 days of employment.
- SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Demonstrates Proficiency in Communication, Observation & Written skills.
- Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding Patient Confidentiality laws.
- Knowledge of Drug-Free Workplace Policies.
- Knowledge of Workplace Violence.
- Knowledge of Corporate Integrity & Ethics
- Knowledge of addictions.
- Ability to interact with a multi-disciplinary team to assist in facets of the recovery program relating to physical health.
- Knowledge of the 12-Step Recovery Program.
- Knowledge and competency in problem solving, stress management, ethics and team building.
- Knowledge of alcohol and other drugs that includes;
- Alcohol and addictive drugs and their physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual impact on the individual.
- Alcohol and addictive drugs and their impact on the family.
- Ability to determine if a medical emergency exists and to take appropriate action, when necessary.
- Knowledge of emergency procedures used in case of alcohol and/or drug overdose.
- Knowledge of First Aid and CPR.
- Knowledge of Federal, State and Municipal laws and/or regulations that regulate the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction, including:
- Confidentiality
- Patient Rights
- Professional Code of Ethics
- Discrimination
- Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and assumption of responsibilities not delineated in the job description which are related to work as a member of an addiction treatment team.
- AGE SPECIFIC INDIVIDUALS SERVED/RESPONSIBILITY: Adults
- OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Familiar with community resources
