Compensation: $25/hour

Job Summary
High School Math Mentor
You will be expected to create the content for each session and collaborate with students and their families to meet mentorship needs. Subjects to be covered include Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus.
Essential Job Functions
- Be reasonably available for Mentoring Sessions; both in-person and online
- Be prepared for each Mentoring Session; with lesson plans and/or session materials
- Use best efforts to provide the tutoring and/or educational services in a workmanlike and quality manner
- Use best efforts to secure a suitable replacement if Contractor is unable to attend a scheduled Mentoring Session
- Inform Beyond of the occurrence, location, date, and duration of each Mentoring Session between Contractor and Client
- Refer immediately to Beyond any inquiry from Client or any Client referral regarding tutoring and/or educational services
- Inform Beyond immediately of any Client complaint, Client dispute or disagreement
- Attend monthly Beyond meeting as designated by Beyond Administrator(s)
- Maintain Confidentiality of Beyond Education and its clients
- Submit documentation as needed
- Perform additional duties and accept other responsibilities as may be assigned
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or pursuing one (preferred)
- Two years of content-specific tutoring or teaching experience
- Demonstrates content knowledge for the particular subject
- Exhibits both personable and professional communication skills with both kids and adults
- Has a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle to travel to sessions in the San Antonio area (highly preferred)
- We do offer training and shadowing sessions with an expert-level Mentor to ensure you feel confident going into a session.
