Towne Insurance is hiring a Benefits Technology Support Specialist to join our Norfolk or Charlotte team. This position assists the Towne Benefits team in supporting the data integrity of the AMS+/Quote+/EPIC and other benefits technology systems and assists with various projects and deliverables as requested.

The good-faith compensation range for this role is expected to be $62,000 to $80,000, based on the role, market, internal equity, and candidate qualifications.

About the Role

  • Ensure the integrity of the data in AMS+/Quote+/EPIC.
  • Perform on-going database analysis and maintenance related to group/employee/individual plans, carriers, lines of coverage, and respective forms.
  • Assist with projects and reporting to review and clean-up data in AMS+/Quote+/EPIC.
  • Perform review and audit of plan data and test rates as needed in AMS+/Quote+/EPIC.
  • Act as liaison with the various benefit carriers for plans and rates as required.
  • Act as a resource to AMS+/Quote+/EPIC users in the creation and maintenance of client compliance, benefit, and other online sites.
  • Assist with testing and production efforts in preparation for releasing any new functionality.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of policies/standard operating procedures related to the functionality of the AMS+/Quote+
  • Continuously improve and develop professional standards, respect the confidentiality of the system information and data, use available resources exclusively for the company’s benefit, respect internal regulations and working procedures, and get involved in solving crises that may occur.
  • Adhere to applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
  • Other duties as assigned.

      Skills and experience you’ll need:

      • Must be detail-oriented and exhibit task work proficiency with minimal supervision.
      • Strong organizational skills.
      • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment to follow up and meet deadlines.
      • Ability to work well as part of a team.
      • Excellent customer service skills.
      • Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel).

      Bonus points if you have:

      • Previous working knowledge of AMS+/Quote+/EPIC.
      • Current Virginia or North Carolina Life and Health license.
      • Knowledge and understanding of employee benefits.
      • Exhibit a good aptitude for assessing situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem.
