The Associate in Benefit Verification plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of patient billing and revenue cycle management. This position is responsible for verifying patient insurance benefits and eligibility to facilitate accurate and timely billing, helping to maximize revenue for the organization. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, knowledgeable about healthcare insurance, and able to work effectively within a team!

Requirements/Key Details

  • Detailed Functions/Key Differentiators: 

  • Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility through online portals, phone calls, and other resources.
  • Confirm patient demographic information and update records as necessary.
  • Communicate benefit information to clinical and administrative staff to assist in patient care and billing processes.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues related to insurance coverage and benefits.
  • Document benefit verification activities accurately and maintain records for reference.
  • Stay current on changes and updates in insurance plans, policies, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the billing team to ensure accurate and timely claims submission.
  • Assist in resolving patient inquiries related to insurance coverage and benefits.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Achieving daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly goals to ensure claims, payments and supporting documentation is completed.
  • Assist with team 
  • Performs Ad Hoc tasks at managers' and supervisors’ discretion.

  • Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a minimum of 1 year of related experience.
