NEP Group is currently seeking a Benefits Specialist that will be responsible for ensuring accurate data, reporting and compliance. They will also provide data analysis for the US employee health and wellness, welfare, and retirement benefit plans.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities- Collects and enters employee benefits data from payroll systems, insurance carriers and benefit administration systems, ensuring data integrity through quality checks.
- Generates and writes needed reports and analyzes data critically to support department with general administration as well as strategic decisions.
- Provides daily assistance to employees: benefit questions, claims issue resolution, and the enrollment process.
- Prepares various insurance invoices for accurate payment and assists with HSA funding.
- Manages the weekly file feed of changes and adjustments between Benefitsolver and ADP
- Assists with benefit arrears invoicing and collections.
- Leads Open Enrollment benefit configuration and testing.
- Audits benefit plan data for compliance with government regulations and internal process consistency.
- Ensures preparation and submittal of government-mandated reports as requested.
- Coordinates and ensures accuracy of the transfer of data file feeds to external vendors, plan providers, auditors, and consultants.
- Collaborates as part of cross functional internal teams such as HR, payroll, finance, legal, as well as external vendor teams around HR/Benefit programs.
- Assists with the coordination of NEP’s wellness initiatives.
- Represents benefit department in company Safety Committee meetings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field preferred
- 3-5 years of data analytics experience; preferably in Human Resources/Benefits
- Knowledge of employee benefits regulations and compliance requirements
- Understanding of HR practices and principles
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data, identity trends, and draw meaningful insights.
- Technical proficiency with expertise with HRIS/Payroll/Ben Admin systems, Vendor/Employer systems, data analysis tools, and report writing.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
