About the position:

As a Behavior Technician, you will work directly with a supervisor and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will deliver behavioral therapy to individuals with Autism and related developmental needs working in both home and/or school settings. Skills worked on will include: communication, social skills, academics, play development, behavior management and self help skills. What is your role? 

  • Work with learners implementing behavioral and instructional ABA based programs as designed by the BCBA in a school, home or community setting. 
  • Collect data as directed by your team's BCBA.
  • Follow behavior and skill acquisition plans in a playful yet professional manner as directed by your team’s BCBA
  • Promote client dignity and safety at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with team members in an acceptable time frame.
  • Attend regular team meetings and CLM coaching sessions.
  • Drive self to multiple work sites during the work day.  
  • Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
  • Commitment to following company policies, maintain client confidentiality, and adhere to HIPPA laws as well as the Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts/RBTs.

What’s needed from you? 

  • Must have a desire to work with individuals with Autism or other developmental needs.
  • Positive attitude and kindness towards team members and clients.
  • [Preferred] Experience working with children and /or adults in the school, home and/or community settings. 
  • [Minimum] High School diploma and background check
  • [Preferred] Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or related field
  • [Preferred] Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in good standing or willing to complete RBT certification within one year of employment. 
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • A background check 
  • Negative TB test required
  • Carry out schedule as agreed upon, including good time keeping 
  • Comply with California Department of Public Health COVID-19 policies.
  • Willingness to complete the Competent Learner Model (CLM) Course of Study.
  • Accepts feedback and implements suggestions. 
  • Demonstrates initiative, creativity and flexibility with individuals and how the learning environments are arranged and rearranged.
