Behavior Specialist 

Citizenship and Science Academy of Syracuse Elementary K-5 is excited to announce the opening of a Behavior Specialist role for the 2026-2027 Academic Year.

We have a great environment for new staff and we encourage you to apply!

We need a professional who will:

· Consistently implement our code of conduct.

· Train and educate all stakeholders about the implementation of the student code of conduct.

· Be visible and accessible to the students and staff.

· Analyze data to identify trends in behavior, make necessary adjustments, and implement an action plan.

· Identify students with behavior and establish corrective plans for individuals or groups.

· Develop positive relationships with the students and parents to foster a respectful and professional school environment.

· Work with school counselors and teachers collaboratively to develop and help implement the RTI process for individuals or groups.

· Support and work collaboratively with administrators, teachers, and parents while demonstrating a professional manner.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's Degree Required

· Experience with diverse population of students or in an urban setting a plus.

· Fingerprint clearance through NYS Department of Education

· Strong communication and negotiating skills.

· Ability to work well in a team.
