What will this role achieve?
Please note: this role is a fully-remote based role – Chiswick based. Employees are not expected in the office on any specific days, but the office is their place of work and they will need to come in for key meetings and events and where requested ad-hoc.
pladis is the top tier Biscuit manufacturer in the UK with three nationally loved brands; McVities, Jacobs and Go Ahead! At pladis, you get the chance to fast-track your career, to do things bigger, better and faster and be part of a leading sales team where challenging the norm is good. You will fully manage the communication and execution of the pladis UK Sales agenda across the high-profile accounts of Bestway Retail and Bestway Wholesale Online. The Wholesale channel P&L worth £53M in revenue, the relationships with customers such as Bestway, Unitas, Sugro, Discount Wholesalers, Other CNC & Other Wholesale.
What will be your key deliverables?
Supporting the Account BAM responsible for Other Cash & Carry
Develop and deliver an annual strategic account and channel plan that reflects the customer and category and brand objectives
Full P&L responsibility for Bestway Vans and Other Wholesale worth c.£6m Net Sales
To plan and implement promotional plans
Full responsibility for base and promotional volume forecasting in Sales Planner
Lead trading terms agreements
Handle key Head Office relationships
Reporting & tracking of Budgeted initiatives
What do you need for this role?
EssentialExperience in a customer facing role within FMCG
Convenience Retail, wholesale experience required
Effective at forming relationships
Negotiation training & experience
Working autonomously and as part of a team towards a common goal
Problem solving and solution orientated
Logical mind and eye for detail
Commercial ability
Experience of dealing with convenience customers, specifically Bestway or Costco is preferred, but not crucial
Experience in Impulse categories
Branded experience (as opposed to Retailer Brand)
