PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The BDC Representative is responsible for internet leads, phone calls and following up
on unsold leads. This position is also responsible for working with the BDC Manager.
You must be an appointment setting, customer service oriented individual with excellent
organizational skills in order to manage incoming customer leads
- Schedule and follow up on all sales inquiries
- Generate sales appointments – 35% set rate
- Contact customers based on current marketing initiatives
- Promptly and accurately enter all customer inquiry data into the customer management tools
- Follow up with sales associates and sales managers regarding leads and prospects
- Email, text message and make phone calls on all leads
- Goal to make at least 80 phone calls a day
- All leads must be called within three minutes
- Effectively utilize lead management tools
- General office administration support
- Display ethical behavior, provide the highest degree of customer satisfaction and be honest in all aspects of dealing with customers
- Unsold Units – Follow up with a phone call and/or text/email
- Sold Units – Follow up with all sold and ask for a review
- Must have a minimum of 3 appointments per day – (Maintain 35% Set Apts; 65% Show; 55% - Sold) Total of 15% Leads
- Strong ability to multi-task
- Professional demeanor, appearance, and demonstrate an expert ability to follow up with good customer service
- Strong MS Office Suite computer skills, Windows proficient
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Must meet company's requirements for employment
Customer service and appointment setting experience preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The BDC Representative works at a desk in an office setting for most of the shift. S/he
will spend 90% of their shift replying to emails over the internet and making calls to
inquiring customers. S/he will work both indoors and out, moving about the dealership
facility and storage lots to communicate with the salespeople and customers. S/he works
closely with the BDC Manager in the transport of paperwork and the discussing of deals.
Weekend, evening and possible holiday hours will be required. S/he will be trained on
and required to use company computers as it pertains to the job.
