Your Role
We are looking for an engineer with hands-on Bazel expertise to improve and maintain our build systems. You’ll help make sure our builds are fast, reproducible, and ready for cross-platform development.
What You'll Do—Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain our Bazel build system.
- Improve and support CI/CD pipelines.
- Work closely with C++ developers to solve build and integration issues.
- Write and maintain Starlark rules and Bazel extensions.
You Have
- 3–5 years of experience in build systems or infrastructure.
- Strong Bazel knowledge and scripting in Python/Starlark.
- Familiar with C++ build processes and Linux.
- Experience with GitLab/GitHub workflows.
Great To Have
- Familiarity with Terraform or infrastructure-as-code.
- Experience with cross-compilation or other build tools like CMake.

At Apex.AI, compensation for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package. Base salary is just one part of the total compensation package, which also includes stock options, health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, a 401(k), learning courses, wellness/gym/pool subsidies, and paid time off. Benefits vary by location and jurisdiction and are subject to change.
