As a Banking Regulatory Report Senior Associate in the Regulatory Reporting Operations team, you will be responsible for playing a vital role in overseeing the regulatory reporting processes across various functions within our centralized reporting team. You will act as a checker and supervisor, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all reports, and assist the Centralized Reporting Team Lead when needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and submission of regulatory reports to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Act as a checker for reporting processes, reviewing reports for accuracy and completeness
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary data for reporting
- Analyze regulatory requirements to ensure accurate reporting
- Maintain knowledge of changes in regulatory requirements and standards
- Assist in developing processes to improve reporting efficiency
- Provide technical support on the use of reporting systems and tools
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and respond to inquiries
- Conduct audits of reporting processes to ensure compliance
- Utilize automation tools to streamline reporting processes
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- At least 7 years of work experience with 5 years of experience in financial services industry
- Strong knowledge of local regulatory reporting requirements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience with automation tools, including End User Computing tools, Alteryx, and SQL, is preferable
- Technical knowledge of local regulatory reporting systems is preferable
- Experience with specific regulatory reporting software/system
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools
- Familiarity with specific regulations relevant to the location
