We are seeking a highly skilled Backup Administrator to join our team in supporting government cloud infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing, maintaining, and managing enterprise-spanning backup and recovery solutions as well as strong experience with backup and recovery solution automation.
As a Backup Administrator you will:
- Configure, monitor, and maintain enterprise backup and recovery solutions.
- Perform disaster recovery testing, documentation, and validation exercises.
- Automate backup operations using Ansible and Morpheus Data.
- Monitor and troubleshoot backup failures, optimizing storage utilization.
- Support COOP planning, ensuring business continuity in case of disasters.
- Maintain backup documentation, ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
- Work with security teams to enforce backup encryption, access controls, and retention policies.
- Hands-on experience with backup/recovery technologies.
- Disaster recovery and COOP planning expertise.
- Automation skills with Ansible.
- Compliance knowledge for data retention.
- 3+ years of experience in similar roles
