Join Our People Operations Team at BlackRock
The People Operations team within HR Platforms & Infrastructure at BlackRock is dedicated to delivering and supporting all employee and talent-related operational activities globally. Our function includes contactHR, Talent Acquisition Operations, Background Screening, and Talent Management Operations. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual passionate about providing excellent client service with a focus on process improvement and risk management to join our Background Screening team. This team partners with external background screening administrators and various internal partners to ensure compliant and streamlined screening processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute background screening processes for new hires, re-hires, and third-party workers, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and BlackRock policies.
Manage all Contractor Worker screening through our Consumer Reporting Agency and other parties, ensuring compliance with policies and standards
Support contractor vendors & hiring managers in the screening process and onboarding
Manage the employee re-screen program, including sending communications, adhering to timelines, and addressing employee questions.
Support the rescreening of employees
Collaborate with global colleagues on background screening tasks and cases.
Adjudicate background screening reports following established standards and processes, using sound judgment and escalating as necessary.
Maintain all relevant documentation in line with BlackRock’s policies and local privacy laws.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance the user experience, proactively suggesting solutions to leadership.
Skills and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in a related field; HR, onboarding, or background screening experience preferred.
Ability to manage a high volume of varied requests with accuracy and speed.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; additional language skills are desirable.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Process-oriented with a high level of attention to detail and critical judgment.
Adherence to strict procedures and documentation requirements.
Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and discretion.
Ability to adapt solutions to changing demands, anticipating local, regional, and global impacts.
Experience working across cultures and in a matrixed environment is preferred; ability to work independently and build high-performing partnerships locally and globally.
Strong work ethic with the ability to work on your own initiative and manage time effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, teamwork orientation, and comfort working with remote team members.
Proactive and results-driven mindset.
Ability to build effective and trusted relationships across the HR function.
Experience with Workday and Consumer Reporting Agency platforms is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, PowerBI and AI knowledge.
