Pragmatike is recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing technology company building sophisticated software systems and infrastructure at scale.

We are seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer with experience in YC-backed or Venture backed start-ups who can work across frontend and backend systems and take features from initial concept through production.

• Build production backend services using TypeScript, Python, and Go.

• Design and implement scalable APIs and distributed services.

• Develop data processing and asynchronous workflows.

• Design robust service architectures and integrations.

• Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability.

• Write high-quality, maintainable, well-tested code.

• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.

• Work closely with Product and other engineering teams.

• 4+ years of backend software engineering experience.

• Strong experience with TypeScript, Python, or Go.

• Experience building production APIs and backend services.

• Strong understanding of databases and data modeling.

• Familiarity with distributed systems and asynchronous processing.

• Strong testing and software engineering practices.

• Excellent problem-solving skills.

• Willingness to work on-site in San Francisco.

• Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure.

• Event-driven architecture.

• Microservices.

• High-volume transactional systems.

• AI/ML infrastructure.

• Startup or scale-up experience.
