Our goal is to make food more affordable, higher quality, and convenient for everyone. We're changing the game for restaurateurs, whether they’re entrepreneurs opening their first restaurant through your favorite global quick-service restaurant chains.
What you’ll do
We are seeking an experienced full stack Engineer with a passion for backend development to join CSS’s Money Engineering team in New York. In this role, you will be responsible for building services that manage money movement across our B2B and D2C businesses and develop financial products that help restaurants manage their cash flow.
Our tech stack is Java, React, GraphQL, CockroachDB, Kafka, Google cloud, and more. And we’re constantly innovating and enhancing our stack - your feedback will help us improve!
Your role will encompass a diverse range of responsibilities, including:
- Build world class financial products with primary focus on Backend services and APIs.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers and customers to conceptualize and build new features for our growing customer base.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data processing and transactions.
- Actively own features and define their long-term health, keeping reliability and scalability at the forefront of technical designs.
- Perform code reviews and be the standard bearer of engineering best practices.
- Build in a dynamic environment leveraging Data-Driven Development, Agile Methodologies, and Continuous Improvement
What we’re looking for
- 7+ years of industry software engineering experience developing and shipping products, both for real-time and non-real time use cases.
- Proficiency in Java, backend frameworks and technologies.
- Experience with frontend technologies such as React is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful and/or GraphQL API design and implementation.
- Experience with cloud platforms and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.
