Backend Intern

We're seeking a Backend Intern with Python expertise to join our robotics software team. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing robust backend services that power our construction robotics platform, from data processing pipelines to robot telemetry systems.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop robust backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI to handle robot telemetry, control systems, and data processing
• Create efficient data pipelines for processing large volumes of robot sensor data, quality metrics, and operational analytics
• Architect and maintain AWS-based infrastructure for robot fleet management and data storage
• Design and implement database schemas for storing robot operational data, site information, and user management
• Build scalable solutions for real-time data storage and retrieval from robots in the field
• Collaborate with robotics engineers to integrate robot control systems with backend services

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong Python development skills with experience in FastAPI or similar frameworks
• Solid understanding of database design with PostgreSQL and SQLite
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Elastic Beanstalk)
• Knowledge of Docker containerization and deployment
• Understanding of RESTful API design principles
• Experience with data pipeline development and large-scale data processing
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure management and scalability
