Backend Engineer

What you’ll do

• be part of a friendly, fearless, collaborative team working in an agile environment

• build, test and maintain elegant Java Spring code

• run your service in AWS

• wow our customers with how smooth and fast everything works

• work with the rest of the team to constantly evolve our ways of working

• be an active part of our Engineering community to make sure the discipline keeps advancing throughout the company

Who you are

To be suitable for the role, you bring the following:

• 3+ years of experience working with Java Spring projects - you would call yourself proficient

• experience with AWS

• having worked with Elasticsearch, Kafka and MySQL would be a plus

• basic command line skills, enabling you to tackle the occasional infrastructure issue

• ability to dig into existing codebases

• communication skills that enable you to seek help and share knowledge inside and outside of the team

• bias towards collaborating with others over facing issues on your own

• ability to improve yourself and the people around you by fearlessly providing and receiving feedback
