Job DescriptionYour Responsibilities:
- Collaborating in a cross functional product team and with other teams on solving customer problems by delivering product functionalities and support;
- Being involved in all phases of software engineering, from inception to coding, testing, delivery and operation;
- Developing high quality code that follows best practices and clean code principles;
- Advocate for improvements to product quality, security and performance;
- Collaborating with other engineers or team members on various layers of the infrastructure, in order to design and launch new features;
- Interacting with the client in order to understand and characterize their needs and advise them if necessary.
Required key competencies and qualifications:
- You have profound knowledge in programming language such as Java (7+ years of experience) as well as enthusiasm for automating and automatically scaling tests and deployments (with Docker and Kubernetes)
- You have fun solving complex business and technical problems and you want to work in a team that shares this ambition with you
- You have years of experience with GCP and knowledge of IaC (Terraform)
- You want to develop yourself constantly and you love to make our digital world a little bit better every day
- You are interested in splitting large projects into small, manageable subprojects with microservices
- You have experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL and Cassandra)
- You have years experience with Spring.
- You have security in mind when designing an application
- You find it exciting to get to know and use new technologies and trends
- You are able to communicate fluently in English (written and verbal).
It would be a plus if you have experience with Datadog
Skills Required
- 7+ years of experience with Java
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code using Terraform
- Experience designing and implementing microservices
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL and Cassandra
- Experience with Spring
- Application security awareness and secure design practices
- Fluent written and verbal English communication
- Experience with Datadog
