We at Holycode are currently seeking an ambitious and experienced Backend Engineer to work full-time on the Swiss table reservation system Foratable in our Belgrade office.
Foratable, run and developed by the Swiss company Lunchgate AG, is a revolutionary reservation system that changes the way restaurants manage, market, and sell their capacity to enhance guest experiences. As a Backend Engineer, you will join an international team of software engineers to create the next-generation platform, implement new features, and enhance the product. This role offers a unique opportunity to significantly impact platform and product development. Join the team behind Foratable as they scale up!
Responsibilities:
- Build new features with the product team
- Maintain and improve existing functionality
- Write unit tests and functional tests for added functionality
- Support the design and implementation of architectural principles
- Closely interact with product managers and software, test automation, and DevOps engineers
Requirements and skills:
- Masters degree in software engineering (or related field)
- 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering
- Good knowledge about data structures, algorithms and data types
- Experience with service oriented architectures and event sourcing
- Experience in a functional programming language (e.g. Haskell, Scala) or Rust
- Experience in modern PHP (8.3) and Symfony is a plus
- Proficient in both written and spoken English
