Job Description

Python Developer

Requirements:

We are looking for a Python developer with experience in building high performing, scalable mobile applications. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application; therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.

Responsibilities:

• Write reusable, testable and efficient code

• Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic

• Integration of data storage solutions (may include databases, key-value stores, blob stores, etc.)

• Build reusable code and libraries for future use

Skills we are looking for (Python):

• Knowledge of Python preferably with Django framework

• Familiarity with some ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries

• Able to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system

• Understanding of the threading limitations of Python, and multi-process architecture

• Good understanding of server-side templating languages {{such as Jinja 2, Mako, etc depending on your technology stack}}

• Basic understanding of front-end android technologies

• Understanding of accessibility and security compliance {{depending on the specific project}}

• Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments

Skills Must have REST ful APIs Python Django

Optional NodeJs JavaScript

1-3 years’ experience in mobile apps

***Major brownie points for prior experience on video/gaming and preschool kids apps.

Additional Criteria: (4th Dec)

We are looking at 2 out of 4 check boxes -

• B2C Android apps

• Video/Gaming apps

• Kids/preschool apps

• Education Tech apps

If they have done 2 check boxes at minimum 1 app each, we do a phonescreen.
