Role Summary:
As a Backend Developer, you will be crucial in developing, optimizing, and maintaining the server-side logic for our cloud-based SaaS applications. You will work closely with front-end developers to ensure system consistency and improve user experience. Your role will focus on writing clean, scalable code to enhance the functionality and performance of our applications.
You will:
- Develop and maintain scalable and robust backend services and APIs.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Implement security and data protection measures.
- Design and implement data storage solutions.
- Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications.
- Gather and address technical and design requirements.
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Liaise with developers, designers, and system administrators to identify new features.
- Follow emerging technologies and frameworks.
Must-have Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience as a backend developer
- Proven experience as a back-end developer or in a similar role.
- Experience with server-side languages such as Node.js, Python or Java.
- Familiarity with front-end languages and libraries (e.g., HTML/CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery).
- Good Understanding of Microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with database technology such as MySQL.
- Deep understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
- Strong understanding of version control tools like Git.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and CI/CD tools.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to perform well in a team-oriented environment.
Nice-to-have Qualifications:
- Experience with Docker / Kubernetes
- Experience collaborating with remote teams across time Zones.
Salary & Benefits:
Your base salary range and title will be determined based on the location, experience, qualification, skills, knowledge, level, and pay of employees in similar positions.
