We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer to join a large-scale digital transformation project within the aviation industry. In this role, you will contribute to the modernization of a customer loyalty platform by developing and integrating backend services with a next-generation loyalty system.
Work Place: Tokyo, Japan
Work Style: Hybrid/Onsite, as per project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Developing APIs, test, integrate, performance optimization and delivery as per requirements transition and transformation.
- Responsible to deliver the assigned functionality with agreed quality and with in timelines.
- Create and maintain Design Documentation.
- Able to coordinate with customer on clarifications/issues and requirements.
Requirements
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Experience in backend development using Java ver17, Spring Boot, Maven, SQL, AWS and JUnit.
- Proficiency in Japanese (Native level / Business level N2 above) and everyday conversational English.
- Excellent documentation and technical skills.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
- Ability to work across onsite/offshore teams and manage cross-cultural communication.
Nice to have:
- Experience in Airline domain.
