We are seeking an experienced Backend API Developer to design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for mobile and web applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java, REST API development, microservices, and Azure DevOps, with a strong focus on secure, scalable, and high-performance APIs. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet business requirements and deliver high-quality technical solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, Test, and Deploy backend APIs for mobile applications (iOS and Android) and ensure they are secure, scalable, and optimized for high performance.
- Collaborate with the mobile POD team, including developers, architects, and product owners, for API planning, estimation, and release.
- Maintain and Troubleshoot backend API services, ensuring stability and performance in production.
- Optimize API Design by working with caching mechanisms (such as Redis) and database technologies (both Relational and NoSQL).
- Leverage Azure DevOps to manage code repositories, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes.
- Ensure API Quality to handle high-volume e-commerce and similar loads, with a focus on security, scalability, and speed.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Java web application development.
- 4+ years of experience in developing REST APIs using Java.
- Proven experience in Node.js for backend development.
- Strong expertise in microservices architecture and REST API design.
- Experience in Azure services and Azure DevOps for CI/CD and code management.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and nginx.
- Proficiency with both Relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
- Experience with caching mechanisms like Redis for API optimization.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong understanding of Spring Boot for Java-based microservices.
- Prior experience in mobile backend API development.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and working within a POD-based structure.
